Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation Surgery
One of the most commonly preferred aesthetic surgeries today is silicone breast augmentation surgery, positively changing women's psychology by increasing their self-confidence. Silicone breast implants come in different sizes and shapes. The choice of the implant takes into consideration the body structure, thickness of breast tissue, and the desired measurements. Breast augmentation surgeries do not affect milk ducts, so there are no issues with breastfeeding. Silicone implants are placed under the chest muscle or under the muscle fascia through a small incision made around the nipple or under the breast. The dual-plane technique is commonly used in our clinic. Breast augmentation surgery has two potential complications, hematoma in the early period and infection in the long term. However, when performed by experienced surgeons, these risks are minimized.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia, usually taking about 2 hours, and requires an overnight stay in the hospital. A follow-up examination is conducted on the 7th day, and social life can be resumed after 1 week. In the early period, the breasts may appear tight and upright, gradually returning to their natural appearance as swelling subsides.
Special bras should be worn for 1 month after the operation, and heavy arm movements and intense sports should be avoided for 2 months.
